GRP Gratings delivered to the Aasgard Gas Compression Project
Aker Solutions in Egersund received 1,500 m² of GRP grating for the Aasgard Gas Compression project. The gratings form part of a subsea protection structure.

GRP Grating article 15051 with a pattern of 51 x 51 mm and a thickness of 51 mm was tested and qualified to take loads from falling objects according to Norsok U-001 and 20 kJ and 5 kJ energy. 20 kJ corresponds to 600 kg dropped from a height of 3.5 m. A total of 1500 m2 of grating was delivered to Aker Egersund from January – February 2013.
The project was awarded to Aker Solutions in December 2010 and completed in September 2015. More information can be found on Aker Solutions' website.
